Lace Front Wigs

A lace front wig gives you a hairline you can part, style off the face and wear in a ponytail without anyone finding the edge. Every Wigour lace front unit is built on HD Swiss lace with a pre-plucked hairline and bleached knots, so the lace melts into your skin instead of sitting on top of it.

What a lace front wig actually is

A lace front covers the front section of the cap, ear to ear, with a sheer lace panel. The hair in that panel is tied in by hand, strand by strand, which is what creates the look of hair growing from the scalp. Behind the lace panel the cap switches to machine-made wefts, which is why a lace front costs less than a full lace unit while still giving you a natural front.

13x4 or 13x6 — which parting space you need

The two numbers are inches of lace. A 13x4 frontal runs 13 inches across and 4 inches back, which is enough for a middle part, a side part or a sleek pull-back. A 13x6 gives you six inches of depth, so the part can sit deeper and still look like scalp at the crown. If you wear a deep middle part or change your parting often, pay for the 13x6. If you mostly wear the hair down, 13x4 does the job.

How ours are made

100% Remy human hair with the cuticles aligned in one direction, so it does not tangle at the nape the way mixed-cuticle hair does. HD Swiss lace in transparent and medium brown. Pre-plucked hairline with baby hairs already laid. Bleached knots so there are no dark dots at the parting. Densities from 150% for an everyday look up to 250% for a full blowout, in lengths from 14 to 40 inches.

You do not need glue

Every lace front in this collection ships on an adjustable cap with straps at the nape and combs around the perimeter. That holds the unit without adhesive, which means no solvents on your hairline and no edge damage over time. If you prefer to glue down for an event you still can — but it is a choice, not a requirement. Our glueless wigs are built around the same cap.

Keeping the lace invisible

Wash with a sulphate-free shampoo every seven to ten wears, condition from the mid-lengths down, and let it air dry on a stand. Keep heat under 350°F and always use a protectant. Store it on a stand rather than folded in a drawer so the lace keeps its shape.
