Curly / Kinky Curly

Kinky curly is the texture that blends with natural 4-type hair. The coil size is close enough that a leave-out disappears into the unit, which is what makes it the first choice for anyone wearing a wig over their own texture rather than instead of it.

Where kinky curly sits

Think of it as a scale. Loose curly is a wide spiral that reads as styled hair. Jerry curl is tighter and springier. Kinky curly is tighter again — a dense coil with a matte finish, closest to natural 4A to 4C hair. Afro-kinky goes tightest of all. The further down the scale you go, the better it blends and the more volume you get per inch.

Blending at the leave-out

If you leave your own edges or crown out, match the pattern first and the colour second — a slightly off colour reads as highlights, an off pattern reads as a wig. Kinky curly blends with blown-out and natural 4-type hair without needing heat on your own strands, which is the point: you are protecting your hair, not styling it to match.

Shrinkage is real

A tight coil can sit at half its stretched length. A 22 inch kinky curly unit often hangs where 12 to 14 inches of straight hair would. That is not a fault, it is the texture — but buy with it in mind. If you want visible shoulder length, go to 20 inches or more.

How ours are made

100% Remy human hair with aligned cuticles, which is what lets a tight coil spring back after every wash instead of frizzing out. HD Swiss lace, pre-plucked hairline, bleached knots. Adjustable glueless cap with straps and combs. 150% to 250% density, 12 to 30 inches.

Care, in one rule

Only detangle wet, only with conditioner, only from the ends up, only with fingers or a wide-tooth comb. Never a brush, never dry. Wash every seven to ten wears, scrunch in a leave-in, and air dry untouched on a stand. Sleep in a satin bonnet. Do that and the pattern holds for a year.
