Straight Wigs

Straight hair hides nothing. Every strand runs the full length in plain view, so the quality of the hair and the quality of the lace are both on display. That is exactly why we only cut straight units from 100% Remy human hair with the cuticles aligned — mixed-cuticle hair shows as dullness and tangling within weeks on a straight wig.

Bone straight versus kinky straight

Bone straight is pressed flat and glass-smooth from root to tip, with a visible shine. It is the sleekest look we sell and the most unforgiving, because any damage or mismatch shows. Kinky straight has the texture of natural hair that has been blown out — straight in direction but with a coarse, matte body to it. It blends with relaxed or blown-out natural hair far better, and it will not read as a wig at a glance.

Which one suits you

If you want the high-shine, salon-pressed look, buy bone straight. If you want something that passes as your own hair at the leave-out, or if your natural texture is coarse, buy kinky straight. Yaki sits between the two: straighter than kinky, less glossy than bone.

How ours are made

100% Remy human hair, aligned cuticles. HD Swiss lace in transparent and medium brown. Pre-plucked hairline, bleached knots, adjustable glueless cap with straps and combs. Densities from 150% to 250%, lengths from 12 to 40 inches, in 13x4 and 13x6 frontals as well as closures.

Heat, and why less is more

A straight unit arrives straight; it does not need ironing to look right. If you do flat iron, keep it under 350°F, use a heat protectant and work in thin sections. A wig cannot repair itself the way growing hair does, so every pass of heat is permanent. Most of the "my straight wig went dull" problems we hear about are heat, not hair quality.

Keeping it sleek

Wash every seven to ten wears with a sulphate-free shampoo. Condition the mid-lengths and ends. Air dry on a stand, then smooth with a light serum rather than an iron. Brush from the ends upward with a loop brush, and sleep with it braided or in a satin bonnet so the nape does not matt.
