Short Wigs

Short wigs run from a cropped pixie up to a 14 inch lob. They are the most durable units we sell, the quickest to wash and dry, and the easiest to wear in summer — there is simply less hair to manage.

The cuts in this collection

A pixie is cropped close through the back and sides with length left on top, which is the boldest option and needs the lace to be right, because the hairline is fully visible. A jaw-length bob is sharp and graphic. A collarbone lob is the most forgiving and the easiest to transition into if you have always worn long hair. Curly crops sit between a pixie and a bob in length but read fuller because of the texture.

Why they last longer

Almost every wig fails at the nape, where collars and pillowcases rub the ends into matting. Short hair never reaches that friction point. There is also far less weight pulling on the cap, so the lace stays intact and the straps stay where you set them. A short unit worn daily will outlast a long one bought the same day.

The lace has to be good

With short hair there is no length falling forward to soften the hairline, so the front is on show all day. Every unit here is built on HD Swiss lace with a pre-plucked hairline and bleached knots — on a pixie in particular, that is the whole difference between a haircut and a wig.

What we build

100% Remy human hair with aligned cuticles. HD lace, adjustable glueless cap with straps and combs. 150% to 180% density, which is where short cuts hold shape without looking bulky. Straight, wavy and curly, from 8 to 14 inches.

Styling a short unit

Short hair holds a shape, so most of the work is done at the factory. Keep heat use to a minimum — a crop that is flat ironed daily loses its blunt line fast. Wash every seven to ten wears, air dry on a stand, and use a light serum rather than an iron to smooth. A satin pillowcase keeps the shape overnight.
